The Hall of Fame defensive lineman was bitten by a shark while lobstering in the Florida Keys, suffering a pretty sizeable gash on his elbow.
“The sharks hang around those lobster holes, because they feed on the lobster as well,” the captain of the boat, Jack Carlson, told TampaBay.com.
Carlson said Sapp “may need stitches,” but will be “OK.”
“The shark wanted the lobster just as bad as Sapp,” Warren Sapp wrote on Instagram. “Sapp got the lobster and the Shark got his lick in too.”
