This driver and their passengers learned the hard way to always keep an eye out for moose when driving in Colorado. The footage was captured by Kayla Whitehead after she and her passengers pulled over after spotting some moose running along the highway while they were headed to go backpacking in Eagles Nest Wilderness.
Considering the damage moose have been known to cause when a car hits them, this SUV managed to come out of the situation in relatively good shape. The moose managed to limp away from the accident and into some nearby bushes. It was tracked by Parks and Rec for a while, but they never found the moose, so it could have made it.
