Well this is terrifying. This cricket had no idea it was about to be lunch for a giant spider that could appear out of nowhere, but it was already too late by the time it realized the spider was there.
This cricket was basically everyone who has ever died in a horror movie. The coast is clear one second and they think they’re in the clear – then they get ambushed before they know what’s going on from someone that seemingly appeared off camera.
If you’re wondering what kind of spider this is, it’s known as a trapdoor spider. They are known build burrows with a trapdoor made of soil, vegetation and silk. This allows them to remain protected while having the perfect ambush opportunity.
