This ice looks harmless at first, but that’s before you realize this slow moving destruction isn’t going to stop. These ice heaves on Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota slowly lured into surrounding homes as these residents looked on in horror. This video shows that the destructiveness of nature isn’t only limited to terrifying displays like earthquakes and tornadoes. These ice tsunamis are caused by strong winds that push ice towards the shore and eventually across the ground, potentially causing extensive damage.
