This snowboarders descent of what’s essentially an insanely tall wall of ice might not look like a traditional ride, but it took some seriously superhuman will to make it through.

The rider starts out attached to a rope until the length runs out and he’s on his own. At this point, one wrong move has an almost certain chance of sending him falling several hundred feet in the air.

He slowly chips away at the descent. Judging from how gassed he sounds at the beginning, this was one ride that takes everything from the rider.

When he finally reaches the end and collapses on the ground, he says, “that was the hardest run of my life.”

We’re guessing it might be the hardest run of anyone’s life!
