With hardly any competition or predators, these Brown Trout in New Zealand have grown to be absolutely huge. Weighing in at up to 11 pounds and capable of measuring over three-foot-long, these trout have started to crave something a little more substantial than whatever bugs and small fish they come across. They’ve developed a taste for mice, at least any that are brave enough to get in the water.

This change in eating behavior has naturally led some anglers to start using fluffy lures over their insect counterparts.
