This Alligator Snapping Turtle Looks Like it Crawled Out of a Nightmare

This picture of a man holding a massive alligator snapping turtle has been making the rounds since Rebecca Bendell Boaze posted it to her Facebook earlier this week with the caption, “Look what a friend caught on Caddo in Uncertain, TX this morning.”. Having received nearly 10,000 shares, it’s clear people are taking notice.

The turtle appears to be on slightly smaller than the man holding it. It also looks to be trying everything its power to tear the guys head off.

It’s unclear what lead to the capture of this ferocious looking turtle, but since these guys are protected in Texas, hopefully he released it after the photo op.
