The Envirobot is here to monitor waters in the U.S. and seek out contamination with built in sensors. Designed to look and move like an eel, this robotic eel is able to move through the water without disrupting aquatic life or stirring up sediment.
Envirobot is powered by individual modules that each have their own motor that allow it to swim on a predetermined path or navigate on its own.
With so many lakes and streams in bad shape across the U.S., the Envirobot could go a long way in helping monitor changing contamination levels.
