Meet the Jerboa, the kangaroo-like rodent that looks like an alien rat. While their name makes them sound like a popularly hated Star Wars character, these rodents are very real and very fast.

They move and very similar to a kangaroo in the way they hop and can reach speeds of up to 16mph.

It may be surprising to find out these little guys are deadly, but it’s not in the way you think. They’re carriers of monkeypox, a disease very similar to smallpox that is milder, but fatal nonetheless. So don’t go petting these things!
