Man Fishes in Flooded Streets for Sunken Car

It’s a good rule of thumb to never drive through a body of water someone’s fishing at – even if it’s in the middle of the road.

Paris Jordanou decided he’d grab a fishing rod and head for York Street Bridge in Melbourne after heavy rain flooded the area. He used his rod to pretend like he was fishing an already submerged car out of the street after the high water caused it to sink. Jordanou said someone always attempts to drive through the area, so he was trying to prevent that from happening again.

His plan didn’t work out too well. One driver learned that the hard way to pay attention to street fishermen as they attempted to drive through several feet of water. They car began floating within seconds and the driver had to abandon his vehicle. Jordan can be heard yelling, “I’ll catch him,” between heavy laughter, as he casts his line towards the newly sinking vehicle.
