Being an Aviation Bird Dog can be a tough job, but for Piper, there’s nowhere he’d rather be than chasing a variety of birds off the runway.

Piper and his handler, Brian Edwards, are in charge of spotting and running off a multitude of different birds from the Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, Michigan.

Since birds can pose a huge threat to planes if they end up in the wrong spot, so Piper’s always one the lookout, ready to runoff geese, ducks, gulls and any other feathered creature that touches down at the airport.
