It’s that time of year again. No, we’re not talking about nearing the tail end of winter, we’re talking about the return of a familiar guest to South Florida. That’s right, a famous Florida tourist, Katherine the great white shark is back in the coastal waters in the Atlantic Ocean.
This is the first time the 2,300 pound shark has been back to South Florida since she got incredibly close to Miami in 2014.
The 14-foot shark is tracked by Ocearch, which collects data from sharks from all over the planet. Katherine had disappeared last year and their were doubts she’d be seen again, but she’s back and better than ever after her tracker reappeared last week.
