Mythical ‘Jersey Devil’ monster finally caught on film … maybe

In a recent sighting that put even the fabled Chupacabra to shame, the Jersey Devil was spotted AND photographed. The man who captured the well-timed photo is Dave Black of Little Egg Harbor Township. Mr. Black was driving home from his security job in Atlantic City when he passed a golf course and thought he saw a llama running in and out of trees near the road. This “llama” (i.e., Jersey Devil) then proceeded to, in Mr. Black’s words, “spread out leathery wings and fly over the golf course.”

According to Black, he managed to capture a photo of the creature but still couldn’t figure out if his mind was playing tricks on him.

Clearly there are going to be skeptics regarding Mr. Black’s story. In an interview with Kelly Roncace of nj.com he elaborated more on the shocking experience.

“Yes, I swear it’s not Photoshopped or a staged thing,” Black responded when asked if he was willing to let his name be used and state that the photo he sent was not manipulated in any way. “People have said it’s fake, but it’s not. I’m honestly just looking for an explanation for what I saw.”

The fact that he could even use his hands or form logical thoughts after witnessing this is beyond me. I used to be terrified of a doll that slightly resembled me as a child, which caused me to become a fumbling mess anytime I had to be near it. Needless to say, where Mr. Black maintained a cool and collected head.

There have been explanations as to what it was that range anywhere from and owl carrying a smaller animal to the a mini-devil. Whatever it was, I hope it doesn’t cross state lines.
