Horrified Snorkelers Discover Great White Shark Lurking on Shallow Florida Reef

Great white shark sightings are becoming more common, but to see one in the shallow water of the Florida Keys while snorkeling is extremely rare. “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life,” Captain Chris Muller told the Miami Herald, “especially not in the Keys, and I’ve swam with a lot of sharks.”

After initially being ‘freaked out’ the brave exchange students jumped back into the water after the shark moved to the deeper end of the reef.

From Chris M‘s YouTube: “When Capt Chris Muller and First Mate Greg Schlosser took a group of foreign exchange students out to Alligator Reef in the Florida Keys for a snorkeling excursion, they were hoping for sea turtles, sting rays and other sorts of tropical reef fish, but they were not expecting this…. A 10-12 ‘ Great White shark! Video footage was taken by First Mate Greg Schlosser.”
